Assistant Tennis Professional
Tomas grew up in Harlingen, TX where he began playing tennis at an early age. His father, who is a tennis pro, coached Tomas through out his junior career. After a successful junior career in the Texas section, Tomas attended the University of Texas San Antonio where he played line 1 singles and doubles. He reached a high of top 40 in singles and to 15 in doubles for the NCAA rankings. After earning his degree in Sports, Events, and Tourism from UTSA, Tomas played on the pro tour for a brief stint before turning his attention to coaching. He has been teaching tennis now for over five years. Most recently, Tomas was a lead pro for the Tucker Tennis Academy in Tulsa, OK. He is a certified High Performance coach and was the personal coach to several National Ball winners at USTA tournaments; an accomplishment all US junior tennis players strive for, but only the best in the nation ever receive. Tomas knowledge of tennis and ability to teach all ages and levels brings a new spark to the UT Golf Club.
